so scary!

I love that my last post is about the sunshine - while it's blustery rainy and running about 50 mph winds! perfect! okay, so tonight we had a bit of a scare when we were on our way home from dinner with Dave and Cheryl, waiting at a stop light to go - the car next to us start hollering at the car behind us (both drunk) and probably because they were distracted - the light turned green and they slammed into the back of our card (really hard!) and then proceeded to speed off in the other direction! while we realized what happened, checked on Max - who amazingly didn't even wake up - flipped around and tried to chase them down, then passed a police car and told them what happened and they called the other units out on a hit and run! I don't know if they caught them yet, but I'm so thankful no one got hurt and my car barely got scratched! All I know is that angels were watching over us and I'm sooo grateful and relieved! Also for the other people's safety, because if they slighty hurt my child I would hunt them down and make their lives miserable! (whoa! Mama Bear, look out!) and we won't even start with what my Dad would do!
Anyways, just a reminder to pray protection over you and your family constantly - it works!

i'm so glad it doesn't look like this when i look outside the window, anymore!it changes everything! one of my Favorite things is to go on a walk with James, Max and the dogs back in the orchard behind our house - especially when the mustard's in bloom! So beautiful! I love my family! I'm so ready for Spring!

parties and playtime!

max loves girls - his Mama and Mimi (my mom), McKenna, Dutchess and Tatumn is actually his only cousin(My stepbrother Ezra's daughter)! we've been to lots of playdates recently (yeah for the the new clean McDonald's playplace!) and birthday parties! So much fun! Now you see why he zonked out on the couch standing up! for real! Oh, and i always knew when i had a little girl she'd get into my makeup, but i walked in on max covered in my victoria's secret love spell purple glitter powder ALL over his face and everything else! hilarious! i had a lot of explaining to do to his daddy about why he was so sparkly!

make-up madness!

okay, so in the last week (and only 4 days of it) I've done 18 people's makeup! aaah! crazy! these pics are from the fashion show and that was the week before (so not including the 9 I did that day!)! I've consults one after the other and my Valentine's Day special and brides contacting me every other day! I have like 14 weddings booked for this year already! So, yes, I'm staying busy...beyond. I'll post more soon. I'm whooped!

crazy eyes! this picture cracks me up!

so, I'll have pictures soon - but things have been Busy! James and I went to Napa last weekend for a wedding party and had a blast and then drove back at 6 a.m. the next morning so I could do makeup for a Bridal Fair fashion show that I had to work till 5 that night, 9 models' makeup, and I was in it, too! Aaahh! I'm still tired!

sorry, i've been missing - crazy, to say the least! it's been great to have James around again - we missed him so much! Dave and Cheryl got Max this ball pit - bounce house thing and Ethan and McKenna came over to put it to use! and yes, I got in, too! what more could a sanguine mom want?!? So much fun! I love laughing with my little buddy!

Hey everyone. Please pray protection and strength for James, Joe (Bryan) and Michael Lee as one of their co-workers was killed today on the job. He was a lineman and was electrocuted while working up on the pole. It's very sobering and scary and shook me up quite a bit. He had a family, 3 kids, and his wife had just had a baby; I can't even imagine getting that call. I know his job is dangerous, but you never want to think about how great the risk is. I'm so proud of my husband and the other guys who've been braving the storm and working countless hours to get everyone's power back on...they're truly heroes.
Update: Sunday - James just got home! yeah!

We miss our Lineman!

Max keeps going around, saying "dada?" ....We haven't seen James in a week and we miss him! I'm SO proud of him, working crazy hours relentlessly in the freezing cold! He loves his job and loves that he can help people, and I love that about him!
Way too go, sweetie! Thanks for gettin' our power back on! And Uncle Joe and Michael too!
