Oh my!

more 1 year pictures! I entered the first one into this baby contest! I love his expression!

Cutest Little Cowboy!

Max got these real cowboy boots from Grandpa Dave and Grandma Cheryl and they went great with his Wrangler diaper cover! He was so funny walking around in these - he kept saying uh-oh and falling over!

Grow, garden, grow!

so, these pictures are probably boring to everyone - but i'm so excited about the first endeavors of my little green thumb that have bloomed and tripled in size! I love this weather, too - isn't so wonderful?!?! I just feel like we finally have a yard and I have pretty flowers to decorate my house with - just thought I'd share!
Here are the before - and these are a major improvement from before that! but look at how much everything's grown in a couple months

Happy Birthday, Baby!

I can't believe that last year this time I was just about to meet my little angel as he entered this world! I've been on the verge of tears all day - just so filled with awe and gratitude, that God would entrust such a precious life to me, and fill my heart with unfathomable love and joy. Happy 1st Birthday, Maximillian - I had no idea I was capable of this kind of love...or that you would complete your Dad and I the way you do...thank you for making us a family.

waiting for you!

Party Time!

We had a little family party for Max on Grandparent's Day! I'll post more pictures soon. I almost balled when we sang to him! 1 whole year!!! So exciting - but, I can hardly believe it! We had a great time and Max got gobs of fun stuff! Oh, and it's not his real birthday till the 14th! Thanks for all the B-day wishes, though!

Mimi and Poppa! Slapping Poppa's head - my favorite! Doesn't that balloon look like a giant Max head?!?

That's right, it's my birthday party! I'm the Birthday Boy!Looks like a funny huge man going through the door!

Momma and Dadda

We love our boy! and, yes, I have pink hair and James has no hair, and Max has a mini-hawk. So crazy that we were just counting down the hours to his arrival this time last year!
Love his face in this picture!

All about kisses! we're trying to break him of the open mouth ones!

makeup madness

I'll blog more next week..but for now..crazy busy! I'm doing makeup for a corporate event and a wedding tomorrow - gone from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.(18 people total), then church; then a party on Sunday, and makeup consultations galore - I did a photoshoot today and 3 consultations this last week alone...only 4 more weddings this month! phew! I'm loving it, though! Settling in at home isn't exactly what's happening...but at least we're home! and that feels so good! I was totally ready!

I love this picture! Max was only 5 weeks old and I was in Natalie's wedding and doing the makeup - he was So good, wedding, reception everything and so little!!!

San Francisco, open your golden gates...we're gone!

So pretty much, I can't believe summer's gone! what a whirlwind! So, I'll try to capture it with a few photos (okay, a few more than a few) and relay the jist of it!
This is right where the hotel was and I loved taking Max's around this little cove! I LOVE the ocean! the smell, the breeze - so great! and we went to Japantown (our peeps!) and visited a friend and went to Beni Hana where Max learned how to use chopsticks! My friend and I had our babies 6 days apart from eachother - they finally got to meet! What a sweetheart Savannah is, obviously, Max is smitten!

he's so fast, he blurred the camera!

pooped out from a long day!

visiting old friends!

so weird, we took this picture and cracked up, because we were making the same really attractive face!

So, I drove down to San Jose while I was in the neighborhood and visiting my dear Ameena - my twin, who's just been in Germany studying voice and music for a year and I welcome her back to the country! It was so good catching up and having her meet Max! Then, my long-time girl, Ami, was home visiting from Nashville - amazing singer she is, (how come i have all these friends that are more talented than me???), and it was SO great to be with her! and Shelly, who loves Ami too and I love her! That's her and Max "veggin' out" - literally, he's spellbound by Veggie Tales!
I love old, comfortable, laughing to crying lifelong friends.....i just wish i could see them everyday!
